SAMExperience

Project

Sustainable Alliance Manager: learning Experience towards Collaborative Skills with Green Consciousness (SAMExperience)

Sustainable Alliance Manager: learning Experience towards Collaborative Skills with Green Consciousness (SAMExperience) is a three-year EU Erasmus+ project (KA220-HED - Cooperation partnerships in higher education) which aims to assess the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of sustainable collaboration. The SAMExperience project is coordinated by the Business School (Empresagintza) of Mondragon Unibertsitatea.

The objective of the project is to cooperate in the exchange of knowledge and best practices to design a learning experience for Sustainable Alliance Managers (Sustainable Alliance Manager Experience- SAMExperience).

Aware that SMEs need to operate in the era of green transition through partnerships and alliances SAMExperience aims to provide professionals with the necessary collaborative and green skills to create and manage sustainable alliances within SMEs in the manufacturing sector.

Needs

99% of EU companies are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and need to adapt to the current context, in particular the challenge of the green transition.

Due to limited resources, the development of partnerships and alliances is the appropriate way for SMEs to increase their competitiveness. However, the failure rate of alliances is around 60%.

This is why the development of the Sustainable Alliance Manager (SAM) profile is considered key, both academically and professionally, including collaborative skills and green awareness.

Objectives

The overall objective of the project is to develop the SAMExperience, an international, digital, flexible and customized learning experience for Sustainable Alliance Managers (SAMs).

In the short term, the objective of the project is to develop the SAMExperience, an international, digital, flexible and customized learning platform for Sustainable Alliance Managers (SAMs).

In the long term, the objective is to equip professionals with the collaborative and green competencies needed to create and manage sustainable partnerships within SMEs in the manufacturing sector.

The overall development of the SAM profile is intended to respond to the need for SMEs to achieve sustainable business-to-business growth.

Impact

The project provides a methodology to train the collaborative-green skills of Business Administration and Engineering students for their specialization in the SAM role.

The objectives of SAMExperience are:

  • Develop the definition of the profile and competencies of the Sustainable Partnerships Manager.
  • Develop a digital and personalized learning pathway to develop collaborative-green competencies.
  • Test and evaluate the levels of competency development in higher education students in the areas of engineering and business.

Project Partners

The SAMExperience project involves 6 partners, 5 universities and 1 company, from 5 European countries (Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Poland and Romania) dedicated to research in the field of sustainability, strategic alliances and green economy with the aim of providing a methodology to train collaborative-green competences in the sector.
